Richard (Rich) Djokic Richard (Rich) Djokic passed away July 3, 2023 in Fort Collins, CO. Rich was born to Miodrag and Helena Djokic on Dec. 9, 1952 in Collbran, CO.

He graduated from Plateau Valley High School (Collbran) in May 1971; from Colorado State University in 1976; and from Santa Clara University Law School (CA) with a Juris Doctor (JD) degree in May, 1981.

After graduating from law school, Rich returned to Fort Collins and after passing his bar exam in 1982, he went into private practice. In December 1987, Rich accepted a position in the Colorado Attorney General's office in Denver, and served as an Assistant Attorney General and First Assistant Attorney General, representing the Colorado Division of Securities and Securities Commissioner's Office until November 1999. While with the AG's Office Rich traveled as far as London where he met with representatives from Lloyds of London. He then became the Deputy Securities Commissioner for the State of Colorado, and served in that position until March 2014. From March 2014 until July 2015, Rich was the Director and Chief Administrative Law Judge for the State Personnel Board. Following retirement from State employment and until his death, Rich was involved in arbitration cases serving as an expert witness in and outside of Colorado.

Rich enjoyed scuba diving, hunting, fishing in Canada, golfing, and time with family and friends. He will be deeply missed.

Rich is survived by his brother Sveto Djokic, sister-in-law Anne Djokic, and nephew Elliot Djokic. He was preceded in death by his parents Miodrag and Helena and sister Nada Djokic.
