Richard Doan Obituary
He was a graduate of Elbridge high school, and Delhi Ag & Tech, where he earned an Associates's degree in Construction.
He was married to his first wife, Donnabelle Ruth Doan, for over 50 years. He married his second wife, Cynthia Ann Doan, in 2013 with whom he was happily married until his passing.
He was known the world over for his giving, generous spirit, always helping where there was a need, including in the stone-age villages of Indonesia, and the destitute island of La Gonave in Haiti. He served on the board of numerous religious organizations, and was very devoted to the Wesleyan Church on the local, regional, and world-wide level.
He was also known for his winning personality, having multitudes of people consider him their friend. Strangers were just friends he hadn't met yet.
He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Ann Doan; his children, Douglas Doan, Deborah Doan, and Diana Lapointe; his step-children Christopher D Centner, Aaron M Centner, and Janice Lynn Rockdashil; numerous grandchildren and great grand-children; and his sister Rosalyn Dixon.
And he could not wait to be with Jesus!
