Richard Dohm Obituary
March 26, 1948 - December 24, 2025
Richard Jemison Dohm, 77, of the Carytown neighborhood of Richmond, died here on December 24, 2025. Son of Charles Boud Dohm and Gladys Guerry Holland, he was born on a Good Friday, March 26, 1948 in New Brunswick, NJ. He grew up in Whippany, NJ, joined the U.S. Navy in 1966 during the Vietnam era, and in 1968 wed his high school sweetheart Susan Carol Brauss of Parsippany, NJ. After an Honorable Discharge, he made a career in newspaper production, from which he retired to Richmond in 2002. He is survived by his sister, Judy Rogers of Richmond; daughters, JoAnne Olin of Wisconsin and Jennifer Eldon of Richmond; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and a niece and nephew.
His remains rest at Bliley's Funeral Home of Richmond, VA and burial will follow beside his parents and spouse at the United Methodist Church of Succasunna, NJ.
