Richard A. Dolgner, 80, of Howards Grove, passed away at Rocky Knoll Health Care Center on Friday, September 1, 2023.
Richard was born to Lester and Dorothy (Whitman) Dolgner in Milwaukee, WI, on October 4, 1942, attended Waldo High School, later serving his country in the U.S. Navy.
On November 14,1962, he married the love of his life, Sandra J. Sejba. Together, they raised their four children and spent 60 years of marriage together.
Richard was a dedicated employee of Kohler Company for over 42 years until his retirement in 2008. In his free time, he enjoyed deer hunting and fishing, bowling, and horseshoe games. He found great joy in vacationing with dear friends, creating lifelong memories. Richard loved spending quality time with his family, engaging in a good card game, and playing board games. His warm presence and lively spirit made every gathering a joyous occasion.
Richard was a man of strong community values. He served as the president of the Accent Marching Group and his condo association, always striving to make a positive impact in the lives of others. His unwavering commitment extended to his faith, as he actively participated in the Fountain Park Global Methodist Church of Sheboygan.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sandy Dolgner of Howards Grove; daughters, Jodi Pierce of Sheboygan, Lisa (David) Radder of Plymouth, and Lori (Ben) Gasper of Sheboygan Falls; grandchildren, Amber Gasper (Derek Patz), Ryan Radder (Haley Sharpe), Taylor Radder (Eric Goettl), Eugene Gasper; great-grandchildren, Zachary Radder, Josiah Patz, Tristan Patz; brothers; Gene Dolgner, Randy Dolgner, Dennis (Patti) Dolgner, Brian Scott (Linda) Dolgner; sisters-in-law, Carol Fleming, Lynda Sejba; and brother-in-law, Vernon Conrad. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by a son, Richard “Rick” Dolgner; parents, Lester and Dorothy Dolgner; parents-in-law, Joseph and Norma Sejba; sisters, Barbara Bayer, Ginny Dolgner, Joyce Witeman; brothers, Leslie Dolgner, David Dolgner; brothers-in-law, LeRoy Ahrens, William Fleming, Jim Bayer, Chuck Whitman and sisters-in-law, Barbara Ahrens, Rachel Dolgner, Dorothy Dolgner and Janet Conrad.
A memorial service will take place at Fountain Park Global Methodist Church in Sheboygan on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. with Rev. Warren Waddell presiding. Visitation will take place from 3:00 p.m. until 4:45 p.m. at church.
The family would like to extend sincere gratitude to the care Richard received from Rocky Knoll Health Care and Sharon Richardson Hospice.
