Richard Eugene Doris, Jr. passed away surrounded by family on November 8, 2025 after a battle with cancer. He was born on November 12, 1961 in Kankakee, IL.
He was born to parents Phyllis McReynolds (Wayne) and Richard Doris, Sr. (Joyce). Rick graduated from Bethany High School and moved to Colorado shortly after.
He was a business owner of a maintenance management company in downtown Denver for several years.
He is survived by his wife Barb, daughter Sarah Doris, son Richard Doris, granddaughter Lucy Doris, Brother Roger Doris (Grace), sisters Cindy Giannetti (Bill), Ella Yokley (Troy), Shelly Goetz, Susan Farrar, and many nieces and nephews and other family who loved him dearly.
He loved the outdoors and especially fishing. He was a lifelong fan of his hometown sports teams.
Services will be at Rundus Funeral Home in Broomfield, Colorado on Thursday, November 13, from 5-7pm and on Friday, November 14, from 10-12pm.
Rick will be remembered for his kind and generous heart, sense of humor, and the deep love he had for his family and friends. His warmth and laughter will be greatly missed, but the memories he leaves behind will continue to bring comfort to all who knew him. A memorable character with incredible wit and loving spirit, he was the model of a life well lived.
