Richard Albert Dorning, age 90, of Fort Wright, KY passed away peacefully on Monday, September 23,2024. Richard is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Virginia “Kay” Dorning (nee Scott); daughters, Debbie Dorning and Denise Hock (Rob); siblings, Jerry Dorning (the late Bonnie), Diane Bruner (the late John) and Tom Dorning (Laura); grandchildren, Jeremy Dorning (Ashley), Lydia Hock and Drew Hock; great-granddaughter, Emma Dorning; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Dawn Dorning (2011) and siblings, Barbara Hester and Danny Dorning.
Visitation will be held at St. Augustine Church (Covington, KY) on Friday, October 11, 2024 from 9:00 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial begins at 10:00 AM. Interment will immediately follow at Hopeful Lutheran Cemetery (Florence, KY). Richard’s favorite color was orange and the family would like to encourage everyone to wear orange to the service in his honor.
