Richard DuHaime Obituary
Jefferson Twp. - Richard DuHaime, 54, of Jefferson Township, died on Tuesday, May 4.
A loving father and husband, Rich was a native of Bloomingdale, N.J. He attended DePaul Catholic High School in Wayne and graduated from Rutgers University.
Rich volunteered for many years as a coach for the Jefferson Youth Basketball Association, leading teams for both of his children and his nephew. He later served as president of the basketball association. Along with his family, Rich was a longtime supporter of the Mary Therese Rose Fund based in Wanaque, donating his time, talents and resources to the organization that provides therapies and medical equipment to children with special needs.
While working as president of Valentine Beauty Supply, Rich also held a leadership position in the Global Information Network, a networking membership club.
Richard is survived by his beloved wife, Tara, and cherished children, Alexandra and Andrew. Also surviving are his parents, Richard and Anne DuHaime, siblings Debra, Diana, Barbara and Michael, in-laws Jill and Michael Conklin and Joann and Dan Ciaburri, along with 11 treasured nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Friday, May 7, from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. and the funeral service will be at 12 noon on Saturday at M. John Scanlan Funeral Home in Pompton Plains. Please note that there is limited capacity in the funeral home. Cremation will be private.
Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Mary Therese Rose Fund, 33 Wolfe Drive, Wanaque, NJ 07465 or https://marythereserose.org.

I am so sorry for your family´s loss. I was deeply saddened when I heard the terrible news.I owned `The Hair Club´ ( first in Butler, then moved to Riverdale). Rich would come in every other week with his big smile and looking dapper in his suit and tie. Always professional,...Always helpful in any way he could be. It as a pleasure to see him and do business with him. I pray that time can heal you all.
