Richard Duhon Obituary

Richard J. "Pie" Duhon, Sr. passed away on Friday, December 16, 2022 at the age of 79. He was a native of Garyville, LA and a resident of Reserve, LA. Beloved husband of Judith Keller Duhon. Loving father of Sean Duhon (Judy), Richard J. "Richie" Duhon, Jr. (Allison), Torrey Duhon (Tammy), Tait Duhon (Nowanna) and Travis Duhon (Bonnie). Grandfather of 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Son of the late Mildred Troxler Duhon and Elmore Joseph Duhon. Brother of Priscilla D. Vicknair, Jeanie Bourgeois and the late Elmore Duhon, Jr. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Funeral Service at St. Peter Catholic Church, 1550 Hwy 44, Reserve on Thursday, December 22, 2022. Visitation will be held in church from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with the Mass to immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. A private interment will be held in St. Peter Cemetery at a later date. I'm proud to say that Pie has been my friend since the 70's when we met at work. I'd just like to say to his family that I know he loved y'all with all his heart and he was an example to me of what a good father is. May he rest in peace.
