Richard "Dick" B. Dunigan, age 88, of St. Johns, died peacefully on November 5, 2025, at Sparrow Hospital.
Born in Lansing, Michigan, on September 19, 1937, Dick was the son of Roy and Myrtle (Keeler) Dunigan. On March 24, 1956, he married the love of his life, Caroline (Moore) Dunigan, and together they shared 69 wonderful years of marriage.
Dick was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose greatest joy was spending time with his family at the cabin. An avid hunter and fisherman, he found peace and happiness in the outdoors. He worked for General Motors for forty-two years and was a faithful member of St. John's Lutheran Church.
Dick is survived by his beloved wife, Caroline Dunigan; his children, Richard (Barbara) Dunigan, Steven Dunigan, and Penny Arnold; his grandchildren, Andrea (Joe) Yakobe, Erika (Michael) Ellsworth, Timothy (Julie) Dunigan, Bill (Carina) Dunigan, Sean (Missy) Dunigan, and Danielle Arnold; and great-grandchildren, Nathan Yakobe, Michelle Yakobe, Micah Yakobe, Nia Yakobe, and Ryan Arnold; brother, Robert Dunigan and many extended family members and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Roy Dunigan Jr., Milo Crosby, and Lloyd Crosby; sister, Bonnie George; grandchildren, Christina Dunigan and the Dunigan twin girls; and great-grandchild, Erik Sturgis.
Memorial Visitation will be held at McGeehan Funeral Home, Keck-Coleman Chapel, 1500 Waterford Pkwy, St. Johns on Friday, November 7, 2025, from 2-8 PM.
A Memorial Service will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church, 511 E. Sturgis Street, St. Johns on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 11 AM. Friends may visit on Saturday at the church from 10 AM until the time of the service. A luncheon will follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to St. John's Lutheran Church.
