Richard Holland Eads, Sr., of Sylvania, passed on August 17, 2025.
Born in Brummitt, Arkansas on November 6, 1941. He was a loving and devoted husband to Frances Eads for 65 years of marriage. He was a loving and devoted father to their children, Gisela, Richard Jr. and Erick.
Richard was preceded in death by his mother Blanche Durham Eads Baker.
He is survived by his wife, Frances Eads, daughter Gisela Eads Haynie, son Richard Eads Jr. and wife Misty Eads, Erick Eads and wife Sherry Eads; grandsons, Matthew (Katie) Eads, Garrett (Baylee) Eads, Kolton (Ana) Eads; granddaughters Maycen and Alyssa Eads; great grandchildren, Kaleb, Kaylee, Mikah, Casein and Georgia.
Though he may not have liked being the center of attention, he deserves to have his long years of fatherly love honored. He was a man of many qualities such as everlasting love, generosity, and kindness. He left a lasting impact on everyone that knew him. His Biblical studies, gardening and unique interest defined who he was. He spent many hours working in his gardens, consistently making improvements. He was always sharing the fruits of his labor whether it be with family, friends or the staff at his doctor’s office.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Cocklebur Baptist Church or the Arkansas Children’s Hospital.
