Passed away peacefully at home on September 30, 2025.
Preceded in death by parents; son, Richard L.; son-in-law, Kevin Boettcher; siblings, Joan Herring, James Eikenberry, Judy Martin.
Survived by loving wife of 69 years, Jean; children, Michael Eikenberry, Cheryl Boettcher, Debbie (Stephen) Geil; daughter-in-law, Dilshad Eikenberry; grandchildren, Julie, Jaceon, Tricia, Corrie, Travis, Tyler, Danelle, and Jennifer; great grandchildren Ian, Austin, Alasia, Elijah, Brooklyn, Lucas, Adrian, Jaxon, Orla, and Aria; great great granddaughter, Mia; sister, Jan Reichstadt; brother-in-law, Nick Martin.
Richard was extremely devoted to his wife from the time they were 19 years old and fell in love. Over the years he loved chasing crabs on the beach in Florida. Richard spent many years collecting every Beanie Baby you could think of and sharing them with his family over the years. He became McDonald's most valued customer during one month due to him and Jean sharing lunch each day.
