Richard Faust Obituary

Richard E. Faust of Oshkosh passed away peacefully at Evergreen on June 26, 2025. He fought lifelong very courageous battles with one health issue after another, and did so with strength, courage, and never a complaint. Even until his last days he recalled and shared every memory, funny story or situation he got himself into. Dad's/Grandpas stories were the best and most memorable and we will cherish them forever.

Richard was born to Arthur and Cecelia Faust on December 1, 1936. He married his lifelong love, Marlene G. Schwebke on September 8, 1956 and was with her until her passing on February 6, 2005.

He is survived by his children Elizabeth (Thomas) Crahen, Mary (Royce) Faust, Judith (Tony) Penzenstadler, and Lee Faust. Grandchildren Jennifer (William) Berning, Shawn (Amanda) Crahen, Ryan (Shiloh) Faust, Lea (Liam) Faust, Erin (Ryan) Mosso, Adam (Kaylin) Penzenstadler, Jaden and Adele Faust, daughter-in-law Lori (Chuck) Delph, great grandchildren Willow Hunn, Jason Uyeda-Faust, Claire, Zachary and Luke Berning, and Bella and Dillon Crahen and sisters-in-law, Patricia Faust and Helen Faust.

He worked at Mercury Marine before retiring to help Marlene at her antique business, Marley's Antiques. They met many friends in the business, and had so many great buying trips, it enriched their lives in countless ways. Dad loved their trips to Colorado to visit his brother Jim and Helen, and exploring the Western part of the US. He had a lot of great friends and loved going out to lunch with his ""eating group"" and of course, eating out any other chance he got. Dad was an avid sheepshead and cribbage player, and almost always won. We are still wondering how he did it!

Dick was preceded in death by his parents, wife Marlene, children, baby Patricia and Edward Faust, brothers Donald (Inge) Faust, James Faust and David Faust, Doris and Edwin Schwebke, brothers-in-law Charles and James Schwebke all from Fond du Lac, and special friend Royce Edwards. Also, many other friends and relatives whom he loved dearly.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at 1 pm at the Poklasny Funeral Home at 870 W. South Park Ave. Father Louis Golamari will officiate. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 12 pm until the time of service. Committal services will be held at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

The family would like to thank Aurora at Home Hospice, Evergreen staff, nurses and aides for their hard work and dedication to dad's care. Your kindness and help were a blessing to us, we appreciate all you have done for dad and our family. Also, a special thank you to Wayne, who came in to play cribbage with dad, and take him for walks, which he very much enjoyed.

Rest in peace dad. You will be in our hearts forever.
