Richard John Fordunski, 76, passed away on October 12, 2024, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Born on October 19, 1947, Rich, or Skunk as he was affectionately known, lived a life marked by dedication and skill, both in his personal passions and his service to his country.
Rich was not just any pool player; he was a phenomenon at the table. His strategic mind and precise shots often left onlookers in awe, making him a feared and respected figure in local pool playing circles.
His commitment extended beyond hobbies as Rich served proudly in the Marines. His time in the service was characterized by the discipline and camaraderie that are hallmarks of Marine life, values he carried with him throughout his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Genevieve Fordunski, his wife Linda, and his beloved cat. Rich's passing marks the loss of a man who was not only remarkable at the pool table but also a proud and honorable Marine.
Rich's Celebration of Life will be privately commemorated. Contributions can be made in his memory to a charity of one's choice, honoring his memory. Rich will be deeply missed by his many friends and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
