He was preceded in death by his parents, Eduardo Garcia and Julia C. Garcia; his wife, Olivia Garcia; his siblings, Edward Garcia, Jesse Garcia, Alfred Garcia, Frank Garcia, Virginia Ruiz and Mary Jane Childress.
Richard is survived by his children, Richard Garcia Jr. (Annette), and Denise Hernandez (Thomas); his grandchildren, Iris, Lily, Thomas Aaron, Jacob, and Karena; his siblings, Dolores Marciel, Ernest Garcia, Julie Acevedo, Alex Garcia and Louie Garcia; numerous nieces and nephews, and many other loving family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at 9:00 a.m., with Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 11:00 a.m., and Scripture Service to follow, at Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel, 6204 S 1st Street, Austin, Texas 78745.
Interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery.
