Mr. Richard David Gardner, 80, of Dushore, passed away on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, at the Gatehouse in Williamsport, PA.
Richard was born March 15, 1945, in Johnson City, NY, the son of the late Harold and Ulah Haven Gardner.
He married Katrina Mary Green of Dushore, PA, on August 18, 1980, at Gardner’s Inn. They celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary before Katrina predeceased him on December 10, 2020.
Richard served in the US Army from 1963 to 1966 as an aircraft mechanic, during the Vietnam War.
Richard spent many years working at the family restaurant, Gardners Inn. When the Inn was sold, he became a Truckdriver until he retired in 2005.
He enjoyed camping and fishing with his family. He was always in the woods, whether to scout or hunt. His newest hobby was model trains and building a train layout.
He was a member of American Legion Post #601 Sonestown.

He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents and wife, he was predeceased by a brother, Robert E. Gardner of Forksville, PA on August 5, 2018.
Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
