Born June 16, 1943, in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Edmund Joseph and Dorothy (Matchett) Granville.
On November 24, 2019, he married Ruth E. (Feniza) Granville. Richard retired from Kraftmaid in Middlefield, Ohio after working there for over 13 years. Richard found joy in hunting, fishing, watching his John Wayne movies and traveling to the Philippines. Most of all, he enjoyed the company of his family, friends, and his dog Ranger.
He is survived by his loving wife, Ruth E. Granville of Niles, OH; daughter, Katrina D. and son-in-law Dewayne Musgrave of Williamsfield, OH; grandson, Austin Musgrave of Williamsfield, OH; sister-in-law, Linda Shoemaker of Salisbury, PA; nephew, Scott Tanner of South Carolina; and his son, Joe Granville of PA.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Bonner, brother, Edmund Granville and the mother of Katrina, Katharina (Mai) Shelpman.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025, from 11AM to 2PM at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 8569 Main Street, Kinsman OH 44428, immediately followed by the funeral service starting at 2PM. Burial will follow at West Williamsfield Cemetery, Stanhope Kelloggsville Road, Williamsfield, OH 44093.
