Richard Grooms Obituary

February 6, 1967 - October 14, 2025

Rosamond - Richard Larry Grooms, 58, of Rosamond died Oct. 14, 2025 after an extended illness.

Mr. Grooms was born in Lancaster, CA. He was an Air Force veteran and heavy equipment specialist who served several years at Misawa Air Base, Japan. He served a decade in the Antelope Valley Field Office of Los Angeles County Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich.

Mr. Grooms is survived by his loving wife Carrie (Dixon) Grooms of 20 years. He is also survived by his father Larry W. Grooms and wife Diane; and his mother Karinita Chairet of Oregon City, OR. His brothers and sister include Kristin Chairet and wife Crystal of Molalla, OR; Timothy Chairet of Happy Valley, OR; Corin Chairet of Oregon City, OR; Janna Chairet of Saline, MI; and Robert Grooms and wife Tiffany of St. Louis, MO.

Private memorial services will be held in Portland, OR.
