Richard Morris Hall, age 95, of Richfield, MN, passed away peacefully on , August 20, 2025.

Born on August 3, 1930, in St. Cloud, MN, to Icyleen and Marcellus Hall. He is survived by his children, Jane Hall Hinrichsen (Klaus), Mary Hall, and Mark Hall (Doris); grandchildren Jason Melo Hall (Lilian), Justin Joseph Hall (Laura), Luke Hinrichsen (Megan), Thomas Hinrichsen (Ainsley), and Dakota Hall; and great-grandchildren Jasmin, Mateo, Arthur, Valerie, and Zach. Richard is also survived by his siblings, Yvonne DeHart, Robert Hall (Mary Patricia), and Donald Hall (Marion), and sister-in-law Kay Hall. Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Rita Ann Hall (McConnell); his brother, Jerome Hall; and his brothers-in-law, Donald DeHart, Albert McConnell, James McConnell, Victor McConnell, William McConnell, and sister-in-law, Marie McConnell. Richard attended Cathedral High School in St. Cloud. He spent much of his career managing and working at lumber yards in St. Cloud, Lester Prairie, and Albany, MN. As a skilled builder and designer, he played a pivotal role in designing and constructing homes and buildings throughout Stearns County, MN. He was an avid canoer, most of his life and enjoyed many trips to the Minnesota Boundary Waters. His story about his trip during the 1940's was published in the Boundary Waters Journal. He was an advocate for the BW area and keeping it a pristine and natural space. In his later years, Richard lived in St. Cloud and the Twin Cities, where he became actively involved in Alcoholics Anonymous. His dedication to helping others was evident in his work with AA programs in St. Cloud, Richfield, and Bloomington. He was also an active member of the Albany Football Boosters and supported the local Boy Scouts during his time in Albany. He was an active member of Seven Dolors Parish, Albany, where he taught religious education, during the 70's. He and a long-time neighbor designed a prize-winning quilt for Seven Dolors Parish, for the church's anniversary. He will be remembered for his humor and ability to entertain children with his rope tricks and knots. He was a creative self-taught designer and shared his knowledge of building with many and was a go to resource for his family. His last completed design was in 2021, a backyard shed for one of his grandson's.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to be sent to the Poor Claires, Sauk Rapids, MN.

A celebration of Christian burial for Richard will be held on September 13, 2025 at Holy Family Catholic Church in St Louis Park at 11:00 AM, with a visitation one hour prior.
