Richard "Rick" Hamilton, 59, of Hopkinsville, KY passed away at 10:52 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at Tristar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 12, 2025 at Dogwood of Hopkinsville. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the service hour. Dogwood Funerals & Cremations of Hopkinsville is in charge of arrangements.
A native of Miami, FL he was born December 7, 1965 the son of the late Richard Hamilton Sr. and Bonnie Hamilton. He was raised by his foster father, Larry "Pops" Taylor. He owned All in 1 Carpentry and provided construction, roofing, masonry, and foundation work for his community. His family fondly recalls his love of building model cars, singing karaoke, playing board games, and watching football. Most of all, Rick was a huge fan of the Miami Dolphins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his foster father; his late wife: Wilda Yvonne Hamilton; and two of his sisters.
Survivors include his life partner: Beth Elsberry and her children: Jessica (David) Mundell, Matthew Rosenberger, and John Ghrist; his sons: Roger (Shawna) Hamilton and Allen (Iris) Huddleston; his daughter: Marlyne (Joe) Jeffries; his grandchildren: Taralynn, McKenna, Nick, John, and Allison; his five great-grandchildren; his uncles: Tim Taylor and Thomas Taylor; and his sister: Terri Hamilton.
