Richard Paul Harris Sr of Bells, Texas, entered into eternal life Monday, February 16th, 2026, at the age of 75.

Richard was born on March 18, 1950, in Denison, to the parents of Millard and Pauline Harris. He worked as a machinist then went on to be the co-owner of Sherman Machine Inc in 1992. On August 30, 1968, he married Sally Montgomery. Together they raised three children and traveled the rivers together. Richard loved fishing, building, and spending time with his family. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, dedication to the church, and his love for people.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Pauline Stapp, stepdad, Butch Stapp, sister, Nancy Brady, sister, Louise Mattox, brothers Butch Harris, and Michael Harris.

Richard leaves behind his beloved family, wife Sally, his three children, Richie Harris of Savoy, Michelle Prutch (Tony) of Lucas, TX, and Justin Harris of Dickinson, TX, six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

The family would like to thank 7 Sisters & Guardian Hospice for their care, support, and compassion.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 19, 2026, at Hebron Baptist Church in Bells, Texas with Pastor Russell Clemmons officiating. Interrment will follow in Hebron Cemetery. There is no set time for visitation.

Pallbearers will be Phil Ferguson, Don Anderson, Justin Ferguson, Stephen Meek, Dennis Redding, and Matt Ferguson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Mike Garner and Billy Clyde
