Richard W. Harshman, 79, of Bonaire, GA, formerly of Connellsville, PA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at Brightmoor Hospice, surrounded by his loving family.

Born January 25, 1946, in Sydney, Australia, Richard was the son of the late Warren and Joyce Harshman of Connellsville. He spent much of his career with Anchor Glass in South Connellsville until its closure. Following that, he moved to Georgia, where he continued his work with Anchor Glass at their Warner Robins plant until his retirement in 2012. Richard was a devoted father, grandfather, and brother. He is survived by his four children: Karen (Scott) Blocker, Todd Harshman (Lauren Rother), Mandy (Eric) Pazer, and Jamie (Adam) McDivitt; grandchildren: Tiffany (Jeremy) Eutsey, Courtney Blocker (Dustin Pirl), JR (Jackie) Blocker, Kyle McDivitt, Seth McDivitt, and Drew McDivitt; and several beloved great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his three brothers: Paul (Barbara) Harshman, Curt (Cheryl) Harshman, and Jeffrey Harshman, as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Karel Harshman, who passed on November 21, 2004.

In accordance with Richard's wishes, there will be no public visitation. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
