Richard Hays Sr Obituary
Richard “Rick” Hays, 70 of Streator passed away Sunday (January 18, 2026) at OSF St. Joseph’s Medical Center, Normal.
Following cremation, a visitation will be held Saturday (Jan. 24th) from 10AM until 12noon at the Winterrowd Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 12noon at the funeral home. burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
Rick was born on March 11, 1955, in Streator to Walter and Margaret (Moore) Hays.
Surviving is his wife and long time partner Linda Dye of Streator, children, Jeremy, Jennifer and Ricky all of Streator, a step daughter whom he raised Nicole, brothers Michael Hays, Bill (Linda) Hays of Streator, sisters Marcy (Jason Gaydos) Hays of Streator and Donna (Clifton) Hayes of Alaska, a granddaughter Drew Dye of Bloomington along with several nieces and nephews.
Rick was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Ron and Robert Hays Sr., sisters in law, Pam Hays and Pat Hays.
Rick graduated from Streator High School and retired from trucking and Allen Disposal.
