Richard A. Hester, born on September 27, 1964, passed away on March 10, 2026. A skilled electrician by profession, Richard devoted his life to his work with dedication, but more importantly to his family and friends, where his true legacy shines.
Richard was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who built his life through determination, laughter, and love. He cherished fast rides, lasting memories, and a good laugh—often at the cowboy's expense. His warm spirit and quick wit enriched the lives of all who knew him. He was a wonderful man and will most definitely be missed by many.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Margeana; father, Marvin Hester; his daughters, Jemzee (Anthonie) Barrett, Jil'lana "Jil" (Mitchell) Grace, Julianna "Jules" (Tyler) Terry, and Jayme Treece. He also leaves behind his brothers, Billy (Nicey) Hester, and Bill Ham; sisters, Lisa (Byron) Hudson and Jennifer (Jeff) Lively; as well as cherished grandchildren, Alora, Adria, Nellie, and Arya. His extended family includes numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives, as well as a host of wonderful friends, all of whom hold Richard dearly in their hearts.
Richard was preceded in death by his mother, Glenda Orrell, and stepfather, Billy Ham Sr.
In honor of Richard’s spirited nature and passions, those attending the services are kindly requested to wear New York Yankees, Las Vegas Raiders, or Arkansas Razorback attire.
The visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Smith Family Funeral Home - Hot Springs, located at 2205 Airport Road, Hot Springs, AR 71913. This will be followed immediately by the funeral service from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM at the same location.
