Richard passed away peacefully in his sleep on August 28, 2025, in Arlington, VA, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever warm the hearts of his family and friends.
Richard was known for his kind and fun-loving spirit. He had an infectious laughter that could brighten the gloomiest of days, and he was always up for a good laugh, making him a joy to be around. Those who shared dinners with him can attest to the warmth he brought to the table. He loved spending quality time with his family, creating lasting bonds over meals filled with love and laughter.
His pride and joy were his granddaughters, Jaylyn and Jocelyn, who he adored passionately. He often spoke of them with great pride, celebrating their accomplishments and delighting in their company. Richard's love for his daughter, Haleema, was immeasurable; he was a devoted father who always believed in her and supported her endeavors.
A passionate football fan, Richard proudly cheered for the Eagles, embracing the spirit of camaraderie that accompanied the game. In addition to football, he found solace in movies, relishing the moments spent both in front of the screen and among friends and family discussing their favorites.
Richard leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and kindness, cherished by his daughter Haleema and granddaughters Jaylyn and Jocelyn, as well as a host of family and friends who will remember him fondly. His spirit will continue to inspire those he loved, and his memory will forever be etched in their hearts.
