Richard John Hohertz, age 87, of Minnetonka, died peacefully on December 7. Richard was living life right up to the end. He was always ready for a card game, cribbage tournament or lutefisk dinner. He was friendly, witty, loving and always on top of the news in sports and current events.
Richard was preceded in death by his first wife, Barb; son, Ricky; great grandson, Beau; and several siblings. Richard was survived by his second wife, Barb; sons, Jeff (Wendy), Mark (Tina), Doug (Georgia) & Jamie; daughters, Stacy & Heidi (Warren). His 9 grandchildren, Zachery, Joshua, Trevor, Henry, Tylor, Alex, Alexandria (Lou), Hannah,and Ashlee; and his 22 great grandchildren (with the 23rd on the way); and his brother, Ed.
Please join his family to celebrate his long and full life.
Friday, January 23, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. at the Washburn-McReavy Edina Chapel
Visitation between 2:00-3:00, with a luncheon to follow the service. Memorial preferred.
