Richard Hollman Obituary

Richard "Dick" Hollman, age 84, originally from St. Marys, Ohio, and more recently residing in Louisville, KY, passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at Glen Ridge Assisted Living. He went peacefully with his daughter Amy and Jennifer at his side.
Born in St. Mary's, Ohio, Dick dedicated 44 years of his life to the United States Post Office as a mail carrier, before retiring.
He is survived by his beloved daughters, Amy Jennings (Doug) of St. Louis, MO, and Jennifer Downey (Bill) of Louisville, KY; his sister, Judy Wilcox (Steve) of Hewitt, TX; his brother, Tom Hollman (Kandi) of Daytona Beach, FL; as well as five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Dick was preceded in death by his daughter, Dawn Hollman Rodgers; his parents, Howard, and Margaret Hollman; and his brother, Terry Hollman.
A passionate sports fan, Dick enjoyed fishing and sharing stories adding his infectious sense of humor. He was often recognized by his ever-present "NY Yankee hat." You could see him riding his bike all over St. Mary's year around no matter the weather conditions! Above all, he was a devoted father, grandfather, and friend who prioritized spending time with his family.
Known for his impeccable manners, respect for others, and remarkable work ethic, Dick earned the admiration of all who worked alongside him. Many would say, "I wish I had ten Dick Hollmans."
Cremation has been chosen, and a Celebration of Life for immediate family will be held.
