Obituary
Richard Lyon Hosking, Jr., age 86, of Leo, passed away on October 27, 2023 at Bethlehem Woods in Fort Wayne. Mr. Hosking was born in San Francisco, California on September 13, 1937 to Richard Lyon Hosking, Sr. and Hazel (Dean) Hosking. He honorably served his country for twenty-one years in the United States Army from 1961-1982. He was a proud Vietnam War combat veteran, having served two tours of duty in Vietnam where he was awarded a Silver Star with Valor Device, two Purple Hearts, and many more accolades. He was a loving husband, grandfather and great grandfather who enjoyed sharing his knowledge and experience with his family.
Survivors include his loving wife of many years, Brigitte (Frolich) Hosking of Leo, Indiana; daughter, Monika and Kenneth Wacasey of Grabill; two grandsons, Kenneth and Jennifer Wacasey of Knoxville, Tennessee and Richard and Nicole Wacasey of Fort Wayne; nine great grandchildren; and a sister, Delores of California.
Burial with military honors will take place Friday, November 3, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Marion National Cemetery, Marion, Indiana.
