Richard Byron Hutchins, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, passed away on July 10, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, music, laughter, and joy.

Born on November 4, 1949, in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Elizabeth (nee Mills) and Richard Hutchins, he was the oldest of three boys. Richard, who was affectionately called "Rick" and in his latter years, "Rich," was a natural leader, always looking out for others, always bringing people together.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Audrey Kay Hutchins (née Spicer), and his brother, Greg Hutchins. He is survived by his children, Richard Louis Hutchins (Lindsey) and Amber Hutchins (Mark) Fugman; his cherished granddaughter, Sawyer Audrey Hutchins; his brother, Philip Hutchins. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews and a community of friends. He is now reunited with his beloved Audrey and his brother Greg, together again in music, laughter, and peace.

Rich shared a deep, lifelong bond with his brothers, holding Greg's memory close and cherishing his enduring closeness with Philip. At Hughes High School, he discovered his passion for music and performance, a love that led to singing with The Mystics, a beloved Cincinnati vocal group.

After graduating, Rich proudly served in the U.S. Army. During that time, and while singing with The Mystics, he met the love of his life, Audrey Kay Spicer. Their connection, rooted in laughter, art, and music, blossomed into a decades-long love story. Audrey introduced Rich to tennis, and together they built a joyful life marked by humor, devotion, and deep companionship.

Rich and Audrey welcomed two children, Richard Louis and Amber Elizabeth, who were the pride of his life. He was a devoted and loving father, always present, supportive, and proud of who they were. The Hutchins family became a cherished part of The Seven Hills School community, where Audrey taught art.

Professionally, Rich thrived in sales, rising to Vice President of Sales at Digital Analog Design. But more than any title, he was known for his warmth, humor, and ability to connect with anyone. He lived fully, relishing music, wine, and the open road in his beloved 1984 Porsche 911 Targa.

Later in life, Rich embraced the role of "Pop Pop" with pure joy. His granddaughter, Sawyer Audrey, was the light of his life.

Though his song has ended, Rich's melody lives on, in stories told, songs sung, and the countless lives he touched. He will be remembered for his energy, kindness, and boundless love.
