Richard Allen Kauser Jr

Richard "Dick/Dickie" Allen Kauser Jr. of Mt. Gilead, Ohio passed away peacefully on February 2nd, 2026 at the age of 68. He was born on September 13th, 1957 to Darlene Marie Kauser and Richard Allen Kauser Sr. in Columbus, Ohio. After attending high school at Mifflin High School, he proudly served 17 years in the U.S. Army Reserves and Ohio National Guard. After his time in the army, Richard had an over 30-year-long career as a tire technician. He was a lifelong NASCAR enthusiast and even raced stock cars himself at Columbus Motor Speedway. Richard loved to camp and spend time with loved ones. He was a strong, hardworking man with a kind heart and a creative spirit. He was known for his friendly personality and his sense of humor.

Richard is preceded in death by his father, Richard Allen Kauser Sr. He is survived by his mother, Darlene Marie (Braughton) Kauser; his siblings, Debbie, Dwayne, and Danny; his children, Chasity (Monroe), Thane (Taylor), and Alexandra (Bryston); granddaughter, Cheyenne; great grandsons; lifelong friend, Kathy; and many other loving friends and family members.

A gathering of friends and family will be held at O. R. Woodyard Co. Funeral & Cremation Services (1346 S High St, Columbus, OH 43207) on Sunday, February 15th, 2026 from 2:00 pm until time of Military Honors at 4:00 pm. Flowers will be accepted at the funeral home. Private family Inurnment of Richard's cremated remains will occur at a later date at Riverside Cemetery.
