Richard L. Kenney

Richard L. Kenney, 79, of Milan, Illinois, died Sunday, September 11, 2022, at UnityPoint Health – Trinity Rock Island.
Services are 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 16, at Grace Bible Fellowship, 1535 36th Avenue, Moline, with The Rev. Donnie Plemons officiating. Visitation is one hour prior to services. Burial is in Rock Island National Cemetery, where the Moline American Legion Post #246 will present military honors. Trimble Funeral Home & Crematory, Moline, is entrusted with arrangements. Memorials may be made to the family.
Richard Laverne Kenney was born September 15, 1942, in Moline, Illinois, the son of Kenneth Eugene and Ethel Maude (McGee) Kenney. He served in the U.S. Navy for three years and married Sheryl Davis on July 14, 1984, in Martinsville, Indiana.
He worked at Radio Shack in Rock Island for many years, retiring around 2003. He enjoyed reading, listening to audio books, and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.
Richard is survived by his beloved wife of over 38 years, Sheryl; his loving daughter, Myrna Kenney of Milan; a brother-in-law, Ed Glisan of Abingdon, Illinois; a sister-in-law, Pat Kenney of Galva, Illinois; half-siblings, Tina, Donna and Jeff; and many nieces and nephews, and their families. He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Eddie Kenney and Patsy Glisan.
