It is with a sad heart that I write my condolences to my cousin Richard family. My thoughts of Richard go back so many years ago when I was a young girl living in Pittsburgh. Richard was my mother, Josie favorite nephew, so when he would stop in after school, she would be so happy to see him. Exclaiming to me and my other sisters,Nancy and Linda, that Richard is here. He loved our baby sister Elaine, too. We had no other choice but to love him as much as Mommy did. It was easy to love him. Richard was always so happy and thoughtful. He would always spend a little bit of time with each of us girls. We did not see Richard that often after he joined the Air Force, but if you wrote and mailed him a letter, he always wrote back. A thrill for any young girl. The years passed and moved forward. I did hear from Richard a few years ago, and he called me cousin Carol, and it warmed my heart, taking me back to a comfortable place of years ago. I found out for myself that the years did not change him at all. Richard told me stories and songs of love for his beloved, Carol. Thank you , cousin Richard for adding shared joy and caring to a young girl life. Richard was a good man .
