Richard Kothenbeutel Obituary

December 15, 1995 - September 4, 2024

Ricky Kothenbeutel, age 28 of Monticello, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sept. 4, 2024.

Ricky enjoyed setting goals for himself and training to achieve them, whether it be a race, lifting, or bodybuilding. You could often find him in his running shoes around town, on a trail or in a national park. He held himself to the highest standard in every aspect of life. His integrity and genuine, humble character was unmatched.

Ricky is survived by the love of his life, Shaley Zweber; his father Rick and stepmom Lori Kothenbeutel; mother Kaari and stepdad Scott Frondal; sisters Kayla (Matt) Ellison, Jenna (An) Huyhn, and Lexi Kothenbeutel; and four nieces and one nephew.

A Celebration of Life Service is being held at Riverside Church in Big Lake, MN on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at 2pm with a social time to follow.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been set up in Ricky's name through Monticello High School Athletics. Electronic donations, cash, or checks payable to: Monticello High School Athletics
