Rich was born on September 11, 1946, to Ferdinand and Priscilla Krivitz in Milwaukee, WI. He was the 2nd of 7 children. He met, fell in love and married Shirley Robinson 58 years ago.
He served in the United States Navy, aboard the USS King which brought him and his beautiful wife to San Diego, CA. Eventually they moved to Lakeside, CA where they raised their 4 children.
After his enlistment with the Navy, he pursued a career with Pac-Bell and then IBM where he retired after 31 years.
His true passion was his faith. He was a crusader for Christ our Lord. He shared his knowledge, time and love through several outlets at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Lakeside, CA for 50+ years.
Five years ago, a move to Surprise, AZ, so they could live close to their two daughters.
He is survived by his loving wife Shirley; daughters, Courtney (Daniel) Leary, Christie (Jason) Martinez; son, Nicholas (Dawn) Krivitz; Marie Krivitz, 9 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren and several "bonus" grandchildren and 2 "bonus" great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Susan Krivitz, Maria (David) Daubert and Bonita (Carl) Rynders and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by son, Daniel Krivitz, parents Ferdinand and Priscilla, brothers, Robert Krivitz, David Krivitz and sister, Jane Krivitz.
If you were lucky enough to receive a hug from him, then you are truly blessed.
Funeral Mass will be held on:
Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 11:30 am

Blessed to have Rich and Shirley come into our life and we will truly miss Rich's presence. He taught us so much about our faith and was always eager to answer questions. He is truly walking with Jesus. Our sympathy and love to Shirley and the entire family.
