Richard Krotz Obituary
Rick was born on December 14, 1949, in Iowa City to Leonard and Nina (Maxey) Krotz. After graduating from Solon High School, he worked for the DOT for 35 years and retired in 2010. He also worked part time at Sears for 25 years.
Rick married Jolyn Brooks on December 31, 1994.
In his spare time, Rick enjoyed watching sports, especially the Iowa Hawkeyes, mowing his yard, and watching movies.
Rick is survived by his three daughters: Dana Krotz, Christina (Gabe) Hogan and Megan (Nicholas) James; stepdaughter: Brooke Brooks; nine grandchildren as well as four great grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings: Pamela Rogers, Brenda Greazel, Ellen Davis, Danette Foster, Jo Marshall and Bret Krotz.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date at Ridgewood Cemetery in North Liberty.
