Richard Stephen LaBorde was born on June 7, 1946 in San Francisco, California to the late Emile and Christal LaBorde. He passed from cancer on October 28, 2025.
He is survived by his loving partner, Jackie Chan, his daughter, Lisa LaBorde, his grandson, Vincent Eguire, sisters Delores Firth and Dorothy Heibel, and niece, Elizabeth Mesa.
Rich retired after 48 years in the clothing business, where he had a successful career at College Hi and Nordstrom. He enjoyed his work family and many loyal customers.
Rich had many friends from his high school, the gym, skiing, bowling, table tennis, pickleball, and church. He was always active and loved the socialization and fellowship. He always enjoyed traveling. Lake Tahoe, Carmel, Hawaii, Vegas, and San Francisco were his favorite places to visit. He also went on many cruises, the highlights being Italy and Japan.
Rich was always positive, thoughtful, and caring, with a generous heart.
His joy and priority are his fur babies, Roxie, Mochi and Jazzy.
He will be greatly missed, we were blessed to have him touch so many lives. May he rest in peace.
At Rich’s request, there will be no service, he will be cremated, and his ashes will be spread among his favorites sites.
