Mr. Richard Wayne "Rick" Larson, 79, of East Galesburg, Illinois passed away at 3:24 a.m. Friday, October 24, 2025 unexpectantly at his home.

He was born on November 18, 1945. He was raised by his loving adopted parents Phillip and Alice "Jean" Larson. He married the love of his life, Ann Delawder on May 25, 1973 at the Central Congregational Church in Galesburg.

Rick is survived by his wife of 52 years, Ann, a sister Ronda (Danny) DeJaynes, and a host of loving friends and family.

He graduated from Galesburg High School in 1963 and later attended Carl Sandburg College and graduated with a degree in Tool and Die. He enlisted in the Navy in 1965 and served his country for four years. He was honored with the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal. He later joined the Knox County Riflemen Association, and the VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars) Organization. Rick worked all his life, working at various locations using the skills he learned with his degree in Tool and Die. He worked for Premier Tooling and Manufacturing, OMC (Outboard Marine Corporation), Case International Hardware, and most recently as a machinist at the Rock Island Arsenal. He enjoyed boating out at Oak Run, spending time with family and friends, and dressing up and attending Halloween parties.
