Richard A. Latine, age 92, of Eastlake, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2025.
Richard was born on May 20, 1933, in Cleveland, to the late Anthony and Theresa (née Wolf) Latine. He was the devoted husband of the late Dolores E. Latine for 58 cherished years, who preceded him in death.
Richard was a man defined by dedication, both to his country, his work, and his family. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War serving in Germany. He then served for 42 years as a Police Officer with the University Heights Police Department. Additionally, he worked for Heinen's for 50 years. Richard was known for working seven days a week, a testament to his commitment to providing for his family.
In his personal life, Richard loved spending time with his family, particularly his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He and his late wife Dolores shared a passion for traveling all over the world. At home, he enjoyed gardening and meticulously caring for his yard.
He is survived by his children: William (Christine) Latine, Susan Stevens (Robert), Richard (Susan) Latine Jr., and Mark (Lisa) Latine. Richard was a loving grandfather to Seona (Jeff), Jeff (Jessica), Maria (Steve), Jessica (Matt), Lauren (Rich), Anthony, Carmen (Alex), Danielle (Tommy), and Natalie, and a cherished great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather to many. He is also survived by his sister, Audrey Latine and dear friend and caregiver Sandra Glover.
Family and friends are welcome to attend the visitation on Friday, October 24, 2025, from 5pm till 8pm at Monreal Srnick Funeral Home, 35400 Curtis Blvd, Eastlake.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 10am also at the Funeral Home. Richard will be laid to rest with his wife at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon.
