Richard ‘Ricky’ LeVasseur was born on October 24, 1965. He passed away at the age of 60 on January 25, 2026 after a short illness with cancer. Ricky was a lifelong resident of Natchitoches. He is survived by his mother, Pollye LeVasseur, sister, Lori Coon (husband Scott), and nephews Keegan and Kellen Coon; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Ricky is preceded in death by his father, Sylvian LeVasseur, Jr, paternal grandparents, S.C. and Mattie LeVasseur, and maternal grandparents, J.D. and Amelia Gorum.

Ricky graduated from Northwestern State University with a Business Degree. He was the owner of Lasers Unlimited. Ricky took over his fathers lawn business several years ago. Ricky loved his motorcycle, his 1968 Camaro, and his numerous dogs. He enjoyed fishing and was a skilled mechanic. He always would prefer to be outside fishing, riding his motorcycle, playing with his dogs, or working on cars. He also loved to spend time with his family, especially his nephews, and his many good friends.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to his physicians and the staff at Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center in Natchitoches, Willis Knighton Pierremont, and The Carpenter House.

Services will be held Saturday, January 31, 2026 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Natchitoches, LA. Visitation at 10am, followed by a funeral Mass at 11am, with private graveside burial.
