Mr. Richard Warren Loveland, age 78, of Fort Mill, SC passed away on Thursday, October 24, 2024 at White Oak Manor in Rock Hill, SC.
The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:30pm on Tuesday, October 29th, 2024 in the Fellowship Hall at Filbert Presbyterian Church PCA, 2066 Filbert Hwy, York, SC. The funeral service will begin at 2pm with Pastor Dave Hall officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memorial Park with Military Honors performed by VFW Post 12136 Honor Guard.
Richard was born on April 17th, 1946 in Hendersonville, NC. He was the son of the late Joseph Loveland and Irene Spencer Loveland. Richard was a veteran of the US MARINES where he served in the Vietnam War. Following his time in the Marines, he received his PH.D. in horticulture. He spent many years working in plant research, landscaping, and later as a manager at Lowe's. He is survived by his daughters, Heather Engelman (Shawn), Sarita Loveland, Amanda Bryant (Jeff), and Lianne Stewart; his seven grandchildren, Andrew, Liam, Lydia, Josiah, Ellie, Nathan, and Everett; and his sister, Kathie Phillips (Johnny).
In memory of Richard Loveland, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children's Hospitial, 2101 Rexford Rd. Suite 165W Charlotte, NC 28211.
