Richard Mack Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Evergreen Funeral Home on Feb. 5, 2026.
Richard Q. Mack ("Ricky"), 52, passed away on January 11, 2026, in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Ricky was born on October 22, 1973, in Denver, Colorado. From early on, he was someone who needed to understand how things worked. He learned by doing, by taking things apart, figuring them out, and putting them back together better than before. Working with his hands wasn't just something he did; it was how he moved through the world.

Ricky was a skilled mechanic, fabricator, and welder who preferred being wherever the work was happening. Whether he was outdoors, on the road, or surrounded by tools and raw materials, he found purpose in the process of creating and fixing. Cars were a passion, especially custom projects, and he took pride in shaping something real with his own hands. When he wasn't working, Ricky found peace in the mountains, enjoyed biking, and felt most free with open space around him and a road ahead.

Ricky was preceded in death by his father, David McGrew, and his mother, Leverine Mack.

At the center of Ricky's life was his relationship with his long-term partner, Lea Moe. She was his common-law spouse, his girlfriend, and his best friend, and the person who shared his day-to-day life, loyalty, and companionship. Their bond was steady, meaningful, and deeply rooted.

Ricky is survived by his children: Richard Q. Mack II, Monaye Lavern Mack, Rayne Moore Mack, Jayda Joyce Mack, and Jhana Jordan Kirkendoll. He loved his children, even if life did not always allow him to be as present as he wished.

Ricky will be remembered for his determination, his creativity, and the way he showed loyalty to the people he cared about. He lived life on his own terms, followed his curiosity wherever it led, and left his mark through the things he built, the skills he shared, and the stories that will continue to be told.
