Richard Eugene Thomas Majzun, 69, of Bellaire Ohio passed away on September 25, 2025 at his home.
Born on September 26th, 1955, a son of the late Martin Joseph Majzun and Edith Marie (Funari) Majzun.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Marion Annette Schramm, grandson, Michael Allen Grow, nephew, Chad Michael Payton, brother in law, Michael Payton, sister in law, Leticia Yost Wallace, father in law, Donald Connolly, mother in law Betty Connolly and special son, Aaron Helms.
Richard was a proud graduate of Bellaire High School, class of 1973, where he developed a lifelong passion for the Bellaire Big Reds, a devotion he carried with him throughout his life. His deep-rooted connection to the community of Bellaire was evident in all aspects of his life.
After high school, Richard honorably served his country as a member of the United States Air Force where he sesrved as as military police and a skilled marksman, an experience he cherished and held in high regard.
Following his military service, he dedicated 25 years of his professional life to Liberty Distributors as a truck driver, where he was known for his dedication and strong work ethic.
He was baptized Catholic at St. John Church in
Bellaire, Ohio, where his faith remained an enduring source of strength and guidance.
Survivors include his wife, Donna M. (Connolly) Majzun, children, Matthew Jared Majzun, Zachary Majzun, Scott Alan (Tracey) Grow, and Barbara Ann (Jason) Goss, grandchildren, Joshua Alan Grow, Alexander Scott (Tamara) Grow, Tyler Chad Goss, Jacob Christopher (Wilma) Goss, great-granddaughter Taygen Marie Grow, nephews, David Michael (Mary) Schramm, Pete Ariss (Michelle) Schramm, great nephews, Jacob Michael Schramm, Logan Andrew (Lindsey) Schramm, Jason (Jessica) Yost, and Russell (Carrie) Yost, niece, Jennifer Nicole (Matt) Bryan, as well as great nieces, Victoria Sells, and Gracelyn Sells and great-great niece, Brynlie Sells.
Richard is also survived by sister in law, Kathy Payton, brothers in law Michael Connolly and Dale Connolly, his special friends, Karen and Joseph 'Soupy' Supanik, and his beloved canine companion, Chloe.
Richard had a profound love for the outdoors, which he expressed through his passions for guns, shooting, and hunting. He was also a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association. These interests were more than hobbies; they were lifelong pursuits that brought him great joy and countless cherished memories.
Family and friends will be recieved on Tuesday September 30, 2025 from 2-8pm at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes and Crematory, 441 37th Street, Bellaire Ohio. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday October 1, 2025 at Noon with Pastor Terry Endsley officiating. Interment to immediately follow in Davis Cemetery, Bellaire Ohio, where Full Military Honors will be conducted.
