Richard Malone, age 74, of Paris passed away at 5:22 A.M. on Sunday, October 19, 2025, at his home surrounded by family.

Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 6:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home. A funeral service will immediately follow at the funeral home at 6:00.

Richard was born on March 18, 1951, in Paris, Illinois to Wesley Eugene and Mary Jane (Peebles) Malone. He married Virginia Johnson, and she survives.

Richard delivered newspapers for 30 years for the Tribune Star and the Chicago Tribune and worked as a janitor at the courthouse for 10 years. He enjoyed camping, 4-wheeling, and riding motorcycles – especially Harley Davidsons. Above all, he cherished spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, his children: Geneva Petersen (Jim), Clorissa Malone, Heather Lynn Malone; his grandchildren: Kaylin Petersen, Jackson Petersen, Dakota Malone, Landes Strange, Grayson Strange, Chelcey Malone, Payje Truter, Keeghan Graffam; his great grandchildren: Jesslyn, Judson, Atlas, Haven, Grayden, Kennedy, and Piper; and his siblings: David Malone (Jane), Ruth Ann Kirby, Frank Lee Malone (Pam), Ethel Marie Bristow, and Marian Brown.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, and his siblings: Mary Ethel Switzer, Virginia Kay Fleetwood, Gloria Jane Lacy, Carolyn Sitkiewicz, William Edgar Malone, Patrick Michael Malone, Johnie Malone, and Katherine Francis Lacy.
