Richard Walter Marsh Jr., 43, of Stoddard, NH, passed away unexpectedly at home on September 18, 2025. Born on November 14, 1981, in Concord, NH, he was the beloved son of the late Richard W. Marsh Sr. and Kimberly Caldwell.
On November 11, 2007, Richard married the love of his life, Heather C. Marsh (Morrison). Together, they built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and dedication to their family. He was a devoted husband, a proud and loving father to their three sons—Aiden (17), Owen (15), and Parker (13)—and a loyal friend to many. Richard is also survived by his sister, Kelly Marsh of Hill, NH, along with many cherished aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Always at his side was his loyal yellow lab, Sora, who rarely left his company.
Richard attended the Marine Mechanics Institute in Florida, earning certifications in inboard, outboard, and sterndrive motors. His passion for the water and his exceptional mechanical mind led him to a fulfilling career working at several marinas throughout New Hampshire. For the past 14 years, he served as the head mechanic at Monadnock Boat Store in Stoddard, where his knowledge, dedication, and work ethic made him an irreplaceable part of the team.
An avid outdoorsman, Richard found joy in boating and fishing, especially when shared with his family. He never missed a baseball game or Boy Scout event, always showing up to support his boys. His sense of humor, contagious smile, and positive spirit lit up every room—and dock—he walked into.
Each fall, Richard looked forward to fair season and treasured his time working with the Angelino's Sausage House family. He was a true animal lover and had a special bond with every pet who was lucky enough to be part of his life.
Richard's sudden passing leaves an immense hole in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. He will be remembered as a kind, generous, and loving man whose legacy lives on through his family, his work, and the countless lives he touched.
A celebration of life will be held on October 17, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Jellison Funeral Home, 25 Concord Street, Peterborough, NH 03458.
