Richard James Mayse, 85 of Lee’s Summit, MO, passed away Thursday, September 4, 2025 at his residence. Cremation is planned with a private family service be held at a later date. Richard was born November 23, 1939 in Marshall, MO to Delbert Richard and Iva Lee (Parish) Mayse and he spent his early life in Marshall, graduating from Marshall High School in 1958 and had also attended CMSU. He owned and operated Silver Floral in Kansas City for over 10 years. He was a member of the Crown Pointe Assembly of God for a number of years. He was a beloved husband and caregiver later in life to his wife of over 54 years, Sandra (Johnson) who preceded him in death in 2014. He is survived by; a son, Todd Mayse and wife Dawn of Lee’s Summit, MO; a daughter, Dana Hasenkamp and husband Dave of Wichita, KS; 4 grandchildren, Elizabeth Walters, Emileigh Saulsberry, Garret Mayse and Grant Mayse and 8 great grandchildren, Addileigh Walters, Brandly Walters, Evangeline Walters, Copeland Walters, Bransen Saulsberry, Charleigh Saulsberry, Beckett Saulsberry and Richard James Mayse.
