Richard proudly served in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany, an experience that shaped him with discipline, resilience, and lifelong stories he carried with him.
He enjoyed traveling, playing cards, and sharing good food with the people he loved. His humor, steadiness, and easy way of connecting with others made him someone people naturally felt comfortable around.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Susan McClaskie.
Richard is survived by his children, Richard McClaskie Jr (Kim). and Christina Fields (Jake); his grandchildren, Alexis Williams, Kayden McClaskie, and Dylan Seymour; and his companion, Charlene Greco, who brought comfort and companionship to his later years.
He will be laid to rest at the South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth/Boynton Beach at a future date.
Richard will be remembered for the memories he created, the laughter he shared, and the steady presence he brought to those who knew him. His absence leaves a space that will be felt deeply and lovingly.
