Richard Bryan McNemee was born in Chicago on September 23, 1935 to Jefferson McNemee, Jr. and Alyne Stone McNemee and lived there until he was 18 years old when he joined the Air Force during the Korean War and was stationed in Germany. He was also in the Navy Reserves for 2 years. The highlight of his young life was attending Roosevelt Military Academy in Aledo, Illinois where he learned how to be a gentleman and made lifelong friendships.
He worked at El Paso Natural Gas for 24 years and also owned Merle Norman Cosmetic Studio and Gift Store. That is where his life changed, when his future wife, Dorothy Gault, MD walked in for an eye-makeup lesson. They married 13 days later and had a wonderful marriage of 44 years. He was blessed with 5 children, 6 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.
They opened a medical practice, Dr’s of Santa Teresa and worked there happily together for another 24 years. He was the Administrator.
They were lucky to be able to travel extensively before retirement to include multiple cruises to the Caribbean, Russia, Denmark, Finland, Sweden, as well as trips to Israel, Columbia and Ireland. They also enjoyed RVing for 10 years.
Richard is preceded in death by his parents and his daughter: Anne Clark. He is survived by his beloved wife, his children: Nancy Frazier (Clint), Lynda Haynes, Connie Setzer (Howard), and Richard Bryan McNemee Jr., his grandchildren: Katy Ragonesi (Michele), Sarah Stanton, Emma Hendrix, Sam Haynes, Aidan Clark, and Jacob McNemee, as well as his 2 great-grandchildren.
