Richard E. Miller, 67, of Washington, IL, passed away on Monday, May 26, 2025, at the emergency room of OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL.
He was born on May 5, 1958, in Peoria the son of Alonzo and Delores Suttle Miller.
Surviving is Patricia Lykins of Washington whom he made his home with for 40 years, his mother Delores Miller of Washington, his grandson Dakota (Cazarae) Beard of Bartonville, IL, one great granddaughter Nova Beard; one brother Ron (Tammy) Miller of East Peoria, and one sister Diane Gore of Washington. His father and one brother Robin preceded him in death.
Rich dedicated 25 years of his life to AutoZone, where he eventually rose to the position of store manager in East Peoria before his retirement. Following that chapter, he embraced a new adventure, serving as a bus driver for Central Grade School for four fulfilling years. In his leisure time, Rich found joy in building race cars and racing remote control cars. He also loved fishing, where he could relax and enjoy nature. Above all, he cherished the moments spent with his family, creating lasting memories together.
While there will be no public services, Richard's family will privately celebrate his life. His family invites you to share your favorite stories and memories of Richard to honor his memory. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to a charity of the donor's choice. To send a condolence to his family, visit www.masonfuneralhomes.com.
