Richard "Dickie" Miller

Richard Miller, a devoted father, cherished grandfather, proud United States Marine, and loyal friend, passed away on January 9, 2026, in his home, at the age of 68.

Born on August 24, 1957, in New London, CT, Richard spent most of his life on the seacoast of NH. He graduated from Portsmouth High School, class of 1975. He honorably served in the United States Marine Corps from 1977-1981.

Richard was a loving father to Brian Miller and Kristine Kiser and a proud and devoted grandfather to Logan Miller, Matthew and William Kiser and Liliana Miller. He found his greatest joy in time spent with his grandchildren, visits from his friends and hearty meals.

Richard was also blessed with a strong network of lifelong friends, many of whom he considered family. These friendships, built laughter, and shared history, were a constant source of pride and happiness throughout his life on the seacoast of NH.

He is survived by his son Brian Miller, and his wife Jessica Proia and their two children, Logan and Liliana; Kristine Kiser and her husband Tim, and their two children, William and Matthew; sisters Babette Morrill, Susan Follansbee and her husband, Peter; Diane Fisher and husband, Gary; as well as beloved nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Nancy Miller of New Castle.

Richard Miller will be deeply missed and remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026, from 12 – 3 pm at Old Salt Restaurant at Lamies Inn in Hampton, NH.

The family does not wish to receive flowers or memorial donations.
