Richard Allen Mitchell, born on March 23, 1951, in Dallas, Texas, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2025. He was a dedicated electrician whose expertise and craftsmanship were well-respected within the community. Richard was a man of many trades and approached each task with a passion and diligence.

Richard is survived by his siblings, Billy J. Mitchell, Mary Andrews, and Sarah Covert and her husband Chuck Covert, as well as Faye Collins and her husband Bob Collins and his in laws Harvey Hathcox, Marilyn Mitchell and Tom Starcher. He leaves behind his beloved children: Richard Allen Mitchell and his wife Christy, Misty Carr and her husband Kenneth Armstrong, Adam David Mitchell and his wife Araly, Jeannie D. Long and her husband Billy Long, Rob Tison IV and his wife Cat Tison, and LeAnne M. Tison. His legacy continues through his grandchildren: Dustin Carpenter, Kendra Carpenter, Woody Mitchell, Zachary Mitchell, Dylan Turnage, Lila Armstrong, Ivy Armstrong, Braelynn Mitchell, Alayah Mitchell, Andreya Mitchell, Calen Long, Haley Long, Christan Tison, Brandon Cullum, Libby Cullum, Ashton Tison, Hallie Tison, Bobby Tison, Austen Franger, and Destinee Tison. He also cherished his great-grandchildren: Harper Carpenter, Aurora Barnett, Lily Tison, Theodore (Teddy) Cullum, and Robert Tison VI, along with many nieces, nephews, friends, and family who loved him dearly.

Richard was preceded in death by his loving wife, Diane Mitchell, and his parents, Elvin and Alice Mitchell. He also mourned the loss of several siblings: Pearl Hathcox, Joyce Rogers, David Mitchell, Donald Mitchell, Margaret Carter, Paul Ray Mitchell, and Ruby Starcher.

The funeral service for Richard Allen Mitchell will be held on March 31, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the Anderson Clayton Funeral Home, located at 301 W Nash St, Terrell, TX 75160. Family and friends are invited to come together to celebrate Richard's life and the impact he had on everyone around him. His warm spirit and unwavering dedication to his family will be remembered forever.
