Richard Neal Moore, of Dimmitt, Texas passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, surrounded by his family at the age of 93 years.

Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 10:00AM at the Fourth & Bedford Church of Christ with Mr. Bailey Chisum officiating. Burial will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the care of Colonial Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17, 2025, at the funeral home from 5:00PM to 7:00PM.

Richard Neal Moore was born on December 7, 1931, in Vinita, Oklahoma to his parents, Orby Moore and Sylvia (Cooper) Moore. He grew up in Dora, New Mexico and graduated high school. The very next day, Richard enlisted in the United States Navy. While in the Navy he served as a gunner who maintains and operates various weapon systems. After being honorably discharged from the Navy, he moved to Dimmitt, Texas and married Dell (Dowty) Moore on April 25, 1959, at the Fourth & Bedford Church of Christ. He began working as a truck driver for the Braafladt's for several years. The company changed owners throughout the years, and he stayed on with Kimrad Transport until his retirement at the age of 86.

Richard was a lifetime member of the Fourth & Bedford Church of Christ. He enjoyed raising and showing Quarter horses which was a huge part of his life.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife of 66 years, Dell Moore of Dimmitt, children, Robert Neal Moore and wife Tonya of Lubbock, Deanna Phillips of Lubbock, and Carla Womack and husband Kent of Lubbock, sister-in-law, Gay Moore of Shallowater along with thirteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Richard is preceded in death by his parents, Orby and Sylvia Moore, brothers, Harold and Orby Moore, and sister, Linda Adams.
